MyInventory

This is a ASP.NET application for experienced Webmaster or ASP.NET Programmers only. THIS APPLICATION IS NOT FOR END-USERS. If you are not a Webmaster or a ASP.NET Programmer but need this product for your own company, please contact us to advice you on how to use this application from our hosted site.
  • Pre-Requisits
  1. IIS Server
  2. MS-SQL Server 2008 (You may have to sligthly modify the SQL Script for other versions.)
  3. NetFramework 4.0
  4. Visual Studio Professional 2010
  • Installation Instructions
  1. Unzip the downloaded file in your Documents->Visual Studio 2010->Projects folder
  2. Publish it to a new folder in your Web Server (Ex: c:\inetpub\wwwroot\myinventory)
  3. Create a new application pool named myinventory using Netframework 4.0 - Integrated
  4. Convert the folder you just created to an application using the new application pool created
  5. Create a new database named MyInventory in your SQL Server
  6. Run the supplied MyInventory.SQL script found in the SQL folder
  7. Create a new LOGIN name in your MS-SQL Server as MyInventoryUser or any name you wish with your desired password
  8. Modify the ConnectionString in the Web.Config file at the root of MyInventory with the new database settings you just defined.
  9. Run the application by visiting your newly created IIS folder (Ex: http://localhost/myinventory)
  • Initial setup and configuration

First time users must configure MyInventory by following these steps in the following order. Please do not skip any step:
  1. Create a new company (MyInventory allows you to create and maintain multiple companies, one must be active at all times to access and accept its data.)
  2. Create your product categories (recommended)
  3. Create your product departments (recommended)
  4. Define your credit cards, gateways and shipping methodes accepted (recommended)
  5. Define your employees, customers and suppliers; and finally, as the last step ....
  6. Define your inventory using the Items option in the Main Menu
  • Daily operations
  1. Use the Check-in and Check-out options at the Main Menu to accept or remove items from your inventory

This project has most of the files missing from, can you post the updated project with files?? All files from item folder is missing, on purpose???

hey i got this error when i executed the software.
please help me asap.
The 'System.Web.Security.SqlMembershipProvider' requires a database schema compatible with schema version '1'. However, the current database schema is not compatible with this version. You may need to either install a compatible schema with aspnet_regsql.exe (available in the framework installation directory), or upgrade the provider to a newer version.
